Sowing & Reaping
In the Bible, we see that God has established the law of sowing and reaping. In the natural we understand that if we plant tomato seeds, we can expect to reap tomatoes. However, God’s plan of sowing and reaping extends far beyond vegetables. He has promised us that if we sow financially into His kingdom, we will also reap financial blessings.
In Luke 6:38, Jesus said:
38 “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”
(New American Standard Bible)
The Apostle Paul, in writing to the church at Corinth, admonished them:
2 Corinthians 9:10
10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,
(New King James Version)
The key to receiving in both of these verses is to give! First we must sow in order to reap a harvest. We believe that Living Word Church is good ground, and we will believe with you that as you sow into our ministry, the Lord will bring a bountiful harvest back to you!
